Sorani Kurdish LQA for a Mobile Game

How Ziman Agency supported an international game localization client with Sorani Kurdish LQA, in-game linguistic review, issue verification, reporting, and follow-up support.

Client Type International game localization company
Language Sorani Kurdish
Service Mobile game LQA and in-game verification

Project Overview

Ziman Agency supported an international game localization client with Sorani Kurdish LQA for a mobile social game. The project involved reviewing in-game Kurdish text, checking whether previously reported issues were correctly implemented, identifying remaining localization issues, and supporting the client’s development team with clear reporting.

The work was completed across multiple rounds, including an initial LQA review and a follow-up verification round after the client’s development team applied fixes to the game build.

The Challenge

The client needed Sorani Kurdish language support for a live mobile game environment where some content appeared only during specific in-game moments or events. This meant that the work required more than reviewing text in a spreadsheet.

Our testers had to access the game, check live UI content, verify whether fixes appeared correctly in the updated build, and document any remaining issues clearly.

Some Kurdish text also had display, spacing, punctuation, and formatting concerns. In a few cases, text needed to be reviewed carefully because it affected how the client’s development team could locate and apply fixes.

Our Approach

Ziman Agency assigned Sorani Kurdish testers to review the game content directly in the Android build and compare it with the client’s LQA report.

  • Checking Sorani Kurdish text inside the game interface
  • Verifying whether reported issues had been fixed in the updated build
  • Reviewing newly identified issues and recording results clearly
  • Checking live or event-based content when it appeared in the app
  • Adding verification notes and results in the client’s required report format
  • Maintaining a detailed working-hour log for transparency and billing
  • Communicating installation or build-related issues quickly to avoid delays

When technical issues appeared during APK installation, Ziman Agency informed the client immediately, shared screenshots for reference, and resumed testing once the updated build was accessible.

Key Quality Observations

During testing, our team noticed that newly added event content may require Kurdish review before or during release. Some event text appeared only at specific times and could be missed if no Kurdish checker or LQA tester is involved during updates.

Our recommendation was to involve a Kurdish checker or LQA tester whenever new Kurdish content is added to the app. This helps catch issues earlier, especially with natural wording, punctuation, spacing, and UI presentation.

Outcome

The team delivered structured LQA feedback and verification updates in the client’s required format. The first round included a detailed issue report and time log. The second round focused on verifying corrected content, checking new issues, and supporting the client with follow-up clarification.

The client continued the cooperation into a second round of LQA, with additional verification work planned after the development team applied fixes.

Impact

This project helped the client improve the quality and reliability of Sorani Kurdish localization in a live mobile game environment. By combining linguistic review, in-game verification, and clear reporting, Ziman Agency helped the client identify issues that may not have been visible through text review alone.
